Ma polycyclic aromatic aldehydes monga 1-naphthaldehyde, anthracene-9-carboxaldehyde ndi phenanthrene-9-carboxaldehyde angapangitse zinthu zomwe zimafunidwa kukhala 4ap-4ar mu zokolola zambiri. Ma heterocyclic aromatic aldehydes osiyanasiyana kuphatikizapo pyrrole, indole, pyridine, furan ndi thiophene adapirira bwino momwe zinthu zimachitikira ndipo amatha kupanga zinthu zomwe zikugwirizana (4as-4az) mu zokolola zambiri.
